West Seneca - The “Spirit of Genesee,” a team of twenty-two Staff Members from Genesee County Chapter NYSARC, Inc. participated in the 1st Agency Cup Challenge June 17, at the Western New York Developmental Disabilities Services Office.
The Agency Cup Challenge, sponsored by the Western New York Training Consortium, is billed as a creative, one-day event which provides an opportunity for employees from WNY disability service providers a chance to join in fun, healthy activities. Working together as a team, participants challenged nineteen other teams in unique and exciting games to earn points towards the coveted “Agency Cup.”
When the final points were tallied, the “Spirit of Genesee” ranked an impressive third overall, and placed in the following categories: Best Banner - 2nd place; Exceptional Sportsmanship - 2nd place; Simon Says - 2nd & 4th place; Tug-O-War - 3rd place; Giant Operation - 4th place; Team Pictionary - 4th place; Creative Building - 4th place and Human Treasure Hunt - 4th place. The team also participated in Gladiator Jousting, Battle Black Jack, the Golf Chip Challenge and Team Building Surprise.
